U.S. assignment process and expat management
More than200companies
In addition to their regular duties, many HR and General Affairs staff at Japanese companies in the U.S. are also responsible for supporting expats arriving in the U.S., during their assignment and upon their return. REDAC’s MMS (Mobility Management Service) was developed to minimize the burden of expat management so that HR and administration staff can focus on their core business.

Advantages for Companies

ADVANTAGE 01
Utilizing external resources to streamline cumbersome operations
Through consulting, MMS standardizes the process of relocation operations and helps company personnel improve operational efficiency and productivity. Inquiries from expat households are handled by an experienced relocation support desk. REDAC will pay for the initial cost of expat housing in advance, ensuring a smooth settlement process.

ADVANTAGE 02
Expert knowledge and consultation services at new locations
Utilizing expertise can eliminate the lack of information when opening a new location or when HR personnel are appointed to a new position. In the U.S., where laws and business practices differ from state to state, the use of specialists is indispensable.

ADVANTAGE 03
Assists in managing various deadlines that are often forgotten
The MMS system allows you to centrally manage visa, I-94, rental agreement, driver’s license, insurance, etc. deadlines without having to leave it up to the individual. Deadline reminders can be set to prevent unintentional forgetting.
Advantages for Expat Households

ADVANTAGE 01
Seamless support from pre-departure to stationing in the U.S. to return home

ADVANTAGE 02
Comprehensive safety and security package
With a team of experts available at any time during the expat’s stay in the U.S., from assistance with various pre-departure arrangements to interpreting daily life in the U.S. and collecting the security deposit after returning home, the expat and his/her family can enjoy life in the U.S. with peace of mind, as the culture and customs are different from those in Japan.

Reviews
Company A
(Pharmaceutical Company)
The low security deposit recovery rate improved significantly, saving the company approximately $26,000!
Until now, the collection of security deposits had been left to expats, but since the timing of the return of security deposits was almost always after the expats had returned to Japan, the expats were collecting the deposits from Japan. As a result, the overall recovery rate of security deposits was only 60%. After introducing MMS, REDAC was able to track down uncollected security deposits, verify and validate the facts, and demand that the deposit be returned to the lender. This has resulted in a 95% recovery rate of security deposits, and has saved us approximately $26,000 per year in costs. In addition, the company has been able to maintain a healthy balance sheet by eliminating the time and effort required to record deductions and other expenses.
Company B
(Manufacturer)
When we set up a new office, we were starting from scratch, but thanks to MMS, we were able to proceed smoothly.
We were to open an office for our company in a new state, but we had no knowledge of the area or the know-how to set up a base within the company. We were told by the head office in Japan that they would dispatch 7 expats, but our immediate issue was how to set up a system to accept them. It was at this time that we were introduced to MMS. This is exactly what we need right now! I jumped at the chance! Thanks to your help, we have successfully established a new office in a certain state and have a system in place to accept expats from Japan, and so far things are going well.
Company C
(Financial Institution)
We are very happy that we were able to save $8,000 per year per employee by institutionalizing car leasing within our company, and we are also able to cover relocation services.
We had been leaving the arrangement of cars up to the employees who were being transferred to our company, but most of them had no credit history, so we were concerned that the car leasing companies that we could find were relatively expensive. We were then introduced to REDAC’s MMS and immediately applied for their car leasing service, which was able to save us about $8,000 per person in total. Not only that, but we were able to use the services included in the MMS, such as housing placement, support during the lease contract period, security deposit collection support, and telephone interpretation, which greatly reduced the amount of work I had to do as an HR person to support the expats. It was also good that we were able to institutionalize car leasing within the company.Aamong the MMS services, the telephone interpretation service is particularly popular with the families of expats who are not good at English, and they use it successfully in their daily lives, at hospitals and schools.
